The Role
I enjoyed my placement, as it allowed me to learn about all the different business units and enabled me to build a solid professional network.
All my colleagues looked at me as a fellow employee, as opposed to an intern. If I ever had any questions, I felt comfortable to approach them and never felt like a burden.
My managers provided me with good knowledge of my role, and what they expect of me. I was given the freedom when it was quiet to build my network and work with different business areas.
I always had tasks to do, and when there were quieter times I used it to meet senior colleagues and learn from them.
I worked with confidential information on a day to day basis. My role did involve administrative tasks from time to time.
The skills I have gained from this placement will be invaluable. I now have a multinational corporation on my CV, and it has given me the motivation to complete my degree and get back into the working world.
The Company
The office had a youthful atmosphere to it. You were given the freedom to not just sit at your desk all day, and work within the office in different areas.
The placement was well organised, as you always knew who to contact if you needed help. There were regular reviews with your mentor to check that everything is going okay.
Training was provided online for various topics. There wasn't much face to face training. Sometimes I sat in on workshops, but this was with a large amount of people and not 1-2-1

Very appealing
The Culture
There were socials organised by fellow placement students, and there was always an opportunity to network with interns and grads.
I lived at home, so there were no costs for me other than when socialising at work.
In Central London, there are thousands of places to go and enjoy the nightlife.
I didn't get involved in any outside activities
