The Role
I have got an awful lot out of my placement and have really felt part of the team. Best job I have ever had!
I was always well utilised and involved by my team, but there is also a need within IBM to be proactive.
You have two managers, one task manager and one early professional manager.
My role is quite up and down, but on the whole I was busy but not overwhelmed.
You need to earn responsibility, but IBM really do let you get involved and take ownership. I have direct communications with clients, and this was a real show of trust on IBMs part for me.
I found this experience more useful than my degree!
The Company
Lovely big group of interns and everyone is very friendly and willing to help.
When I first started I felt it could have been better organised, but on the whole the placement has been really well organised and Foundation have supported us all every step of the way.
My manager is really flexible and lets me work on projects that interest me and help my career development.
