The Role
I enjoyed my job as I got to work with a wide range of people in different countries but the role would not be right for me long term.
Most of the time I felt my work was appreciated and could see value in what I was doing.
I was given support but I did find it was sometimes hard to find time to speak with my manager as she was very busy herself, although I had a mentor I could go to which helped a lot.
It varied quite a lot, sometimes I would be really busy and not know where to start and other times I would not have enough work to fill me time - it often depended on what time of year it was.
I was responsible for quite a lot of marketing money.
I feel my placement year has further helped me to develop personal and proffesional skills that can be used in my final year and beyond.
The Company
The office was good but sometimes very quiet due to the amount of flexible working
I had a few problems near the beginning but otherwise everything else seemed to be quite organised and structured.
I was able to take part in many training and development days to assist with my job role and my personal development of key skills.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I will apply back but I am not sure working in such a large company is right for me
The Culture
The social side was fantastic with around 250 - 300 placement students there was a lot of fun outside (and inside) of work.
London can be pretty pricey but it was definately worth it.
Short train ride to central London so that is where we went out most weekends.
There was a ski trip organised by one intern, there were sports teams and various other activities.
