About You
I enjoyed finding out more about Mace itself how it is split up into the different sectors and really gave me an insight into how I could fit into the company in the future.
I was able to talk to very senior members of the mace team and even had a one on one placement on site to see how works are carried out. It was a very rewarding experience.
I received a lot of guidance from everyone I was in contact with and everyone was polite and answered very question I had regarding the industry or the working environment at mace.
I was able to get a lot of ideas about what I wanted to do for my dissertation topic and also ask about current modules I am taking now. I was also able to see a lot of things I have previously worked on in my modules in the work place as well,
The Company
The insight was really good gave a good understanding as mace as a company and also about the whole industry as a whole and how mace fit into this. It also made me feel very valued in terms of coming back to do a placement or grad scheme as it was talked about regularly.
Everyone was friendly and I felt welcomed from the first to the last day.
Mace gave us half a day to go over how a assessment day would look like and also some tips on how to structure a CV which was very useful.
The experience felt tailored to this and by the end I had a feeling of what department I would want to work in with Mace already and I felt like I knew the roles inside and out.
The insight week showed me how diverse the company is trying to get and I really liked the atmosphere of the company in terms of trying to think of the environment as well.
I really feel that it has made me want to look into going into the management side of construction after university and answered any questions I might have had about this.
