The Role
Whilst L'Oreal is highly challenging and fast paced I have enjoyed the past year for a variety of different reasons such as the culture, the jobs and projects I have been part of and the exposure to high management which has been a huge benefit for me.
Like every company, you can sometimes feel lost under the work. However I do feel L'Oreal truly try to show interest, support and empowerment in all their members and I have felt valued by my time and part of the community since day 1.
To those that seek guidance and assistance there will always be somebody at L'Oreal who can help and support you in your attempt to reach a goal. Equally L'Oreal urge you to become independent and work on your problem solving skills. For me personally these are things that came as I naturally progressed in the job and gained a deeper learning about my role.
On a day to day basis I believe I am very busy and I have had to adapt my way of working in order to be efficient at L'Olreal, I do however feel this has taught me valuable life skills which will be a huge asset no matter what industry or obstacle I face.
Since day one I have been guided into becoming independent at L'Oreal and given a level of responsibility I never thought I would receive during a work placement. Some projects have seen me work on huge jobs in which I was in direct contact with our suppliers, customers and account holders.
My time at L'Oreal have given me incredible insight and skills which I believe will prove to be a huge asset in my future and University.
The Company
The atmosphere within the office can change from day to day depending on what is happening in the business. However overall I feel the atmosphere in the office has been great, I feel L'Oreal try very hard to ensure that their employees are happy and enjoy coming to work.
Overall the internship was organised and well structured.
I haven't received any additional training whilst on this internship.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Having enjoyed my time at L'Oreal I am very excited to see what the future holds for me with the company and I will be looking to pursue my future with the company.
The Culture
The intern community at L'Oreal is great and you fit in very easily when you start, The intern committee regularly organises social events for all the interns to attend and make the most of the social opportunities the city has to offer.
London is as expensive as you make it. If you budget and prioritise effectively than there should be little to no financial struggle.
The nightlife in London is great, with a lot of different places to discover.
There is always opportunities to get involved in something outside of work with regular events being held in the city.
