The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at L'Oreal. The time I've had has been invaluable to me and it has flown by
Over the year I've felt extremely valued, I don't feel like a placement student but a full time employee. No opportunities have been past due to my position, everyone recognizes you and values your view point.
Guidance has been good, although stretched at times with the lack of numbers within the team. Advice has been good at L'Oreal although with it being such a young workforce not many can give you long term career guidance.
Extremely! There inst a day to day in my role and I was often out of the office attending meetings reducing the amount of time I had to actually work
I was given huge amounts of responsibility. With a relatively new team structure surrounded by huge growth areas there were plenty of opportunities to gain responsibility and take ownership of projects
I developed more skills than I learnt through training. Everything was learnt on the job - from this knowledge it has helped me focus on a dissertation subject. The general work structure has also benefited me as i approach my final year.
The Company
The office overall was a busy place with a good atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and approachable with good opportunities to network outside of your normal team
The placement was organised to a good standard
I benefited from great personal investment through the team being limited on resources. I feel that I could of had more training invested into me and other interns. You are put into the deep end, however to make the transition easier training would of helped.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events

Very - I'd happy come back to L'Oreal
The Culture
The social scene was good, however again could of been organised better.
