The Role
Lovely work life balance. Average/poor location to fully enjoy the spare time midweek. Nice company to work for but realised not the route/ I want to take forward
Felt valued by all, even when doing tasks you don't think are that influential it's still greatly appreciated by others.
Very open and comfortable getting support on anything you need, you will need to ask and organise what and when you get it.
Pretty busy but makes the days go quick. Only few occasions had to work over really late, these were recognised and treated with expense claims to have meals out.
Line manager left and had to take over her role for 5months before the replacement. Team I was in not afraid to give interns and grads chance to take on big projects, and offer good support if you find yourself a bit lost,.
I was in a less technical engineering placement. Skills learnt will be transferred into any job, very good year to take. I have a much better idea of what no to pursue as a future career.
The Company
Re-org slightly broke up main team losing a bit of chat. However sat on a grad and intern table so we made the best of work days, good laugh at times to nicely break up the day. Also people usually left pretty early/ on-time, always nice.
Had to do most of the set up myself and didn't really have any weekly reviews or PDRs. Found my path through the year was almost dictated by myself which I prefer, rather than the constant development chats. You can sort it however you want though.
Did a few courses and that. Pretty open to spending money and time to let you learn the industry and company

decent grad scheme that you can hop about different areas of the business, They seem to offer the grad scheme to anyone that gets onto the internship.
The Culture
Sports teams in Rolls Royce, great football team that is laugh and have a lot going. AGA ran in rolls Royce that put forwards balls and activity days. Pretty good options available.
Got a house late so ended up paying fair amount for a poor house in a rough area. Can get cheap place though we were just mugs.
Pretty poor really, wouldn't recommended a derby night out. Can get to Nottingham easily and cheap for like £3quid return with last buses back at 3:30AM
Didn't really need to look because enough going on about rolls Royce, sure there will be a fair amount if you looked.
