The Role
I had a great time within the organisation and I felt that my placement was very rewarding, I was able to work directly with a number of clients which was great so overall I thoroughly enjoyed my placement.
I felt that my colleagues were all very helpful and they really made an effort to make me feel part of the team. At times it was difficult for me to contribute because of my level of experience but they were always very patient and tried their best to find jobs for me at a suitable level.
My managers on each job were very good at checking to make sure that I was getting on all right and making me feel welcome!
I was kept busy most of the time, at points it was difficult to make sure that there were enough jobs to do at a suitable level but that is a reflection of the general work environment and absolutely not a criticism of the people who I was working with, they were great at keeping me busy.
I was given individual tasks to complete and work to do, all of which was achievable and, if I had any problems the team were more than happy to help me wherever necessary so I had a good level of responsibility in my opinion.
I have learned a great deal about working in a professional environment and the experience which I have gained is certain to stand me in good stead for my future career and for life in general.
The Company
The environment was professional and controlled.
The internship was set up very well, the only observation that I have was that communication with Graduate Recruitment could have been better at times.
They made a major investment in my development.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I will have a final interview which, along with my feedback, will determine whether I will be offered a job.
The Culture
My colleagues seemed to have good social interaction with each other.
The cost of living and socialising in my environment was as reasonable as could be expected.
Glasgow has a great nightlife so no complaints there!
There are loads of opportunities to become involved in a variety of activities.
