The Role
As this is an internship, it is my first "real office job". The culture of the business is fantastic and it really shines through every member of staff in the office and that has made this internship very enjoyable
From the first day of my internship, I was given real responsibility. There is training both on the job and classroom training - everyone in the office is very busy running their own desk's however they always took time out of their day to help me out when needed.
My manager, regional director and colleagues have been very helpful - we have training as an office or as a region so I have always felt I've been supported and guided very well
I am doing the same job as a permanent member of staff, so no two days are ever the same. This is a very busy role
I was treated a full time permanent member of staff so from day one I was given real responsibility, and I feel this is key in succeeding in your internship
I feel the last year working at Hays has given me real exposure to the business world. My work ethic has completely changed and my time management skills are now fantastic which will really help me when going back for my final year of university
The Company
The Hays culture and values show through each member of staff, so the atmosphere in the office was always positive. As this is essentially a sales job there is a lot of pressure
You are put through a 12 week training course to begin with which was very organized, you also attend formal classroom training. Overall, the organization was very good
I feel as though the business have invested a lot of time in my training and development.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The promotional targets and career prospects are clear for all members of staff and this is something that management are happy to talk about, and I feel that is really key in retaining your employees and keeping them happy. The future prospects with Hays are very appealing - there are great financial rewards as well as the ability to transfer internationally
The Culture
I was the only intern in my office! As an office though, we did have a few social do's throughout the year
