The Role
I enjoyed my placement very much. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a career in Asset Management
I feel very valued by my colleagues. I am given vast responsibilities and good feedback.
constantly - everyone is approachable and also there are regular sit-down meetings if required.
Very busy, there were down times and also there were times where the workload was vast. Very rarely did I have nothing to do and if I did all I had to do was ask.
After the initial period where I was proving I could handle the workload I was then gradually trusted with more and more.
I believe that my Office skills have come a long way also my attention to detail. These are qualities every student thinks they have until they actually get to a workplace like this one and then you learn quickly that there is a higher level than the one you are currently operating.
The Company
Good. Most people were very approachable, even outside your own team. Encouragement and support is given throughout
Very. I never felt like I didn't know the next step or if anything was unclear I could ask for instant clarification
The company have paid me for my time here, Individuals have given their time to develop me which was very valuable. Also, the company have paid for me to do an IMC.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Hopefully they are good, I cannot comment at this stage!
The Culture
I lived outside the city, however, there are many social events both as part of UBS and as individual groups. The cost of living is as expected in London, although expensive, if you are savvy there are many opportunities to cut costs with deals.
Good. although I did not stay late often, many did and they seemed to enjoy themselves.
Yes, various volunteer events, network events, social events were held during my time here.
