The Role
I have really enjoyed my time here at Danone. It is a great company to work for: everyone is extremely friendly, helpful and open
The team have fully embraced me into the role and made me feel very welcome from the outset.
Support and guidance has been provided throughout. At the start of the placement when more support was needed it was given however as I have gained knowledge and experience I have been able to do more thinks on my own.
I always had plenty of things to be doing and so was kept busy. Team were very good at ensuring my workload was manageable and that I had a good work life balance
I have been extremely surprised by the amount of responsibility I have been given throughout the year. It was very clear that the team trusted me.
This year has been invaluable to my future. I have gained so much experience and believe it will put me in a great position post uni when applying for grad schemes. I feel skills/ training received are less relevant for my final year at uni though.
The Company
Good balance of work and fun. Quite a casual environment so if you are looking for a cut- throat, intense business Danone is not for you.
Great organisation within my team. Managers ensured that I was meeting all my university criteria.
I attended training courses at the beginning of my placement relating to relevant data systems that I would be using. Did not have the opportunity to go on any personal training courses however on reflection I should have pushed to attend these more.

I have applied for the graduate scheme for after my final year at university. This scheme is very appealing to me as it has x2 one year rotations and so offer great chance to see all 3 CBUs and different departments
The Culture
There was a good social scene within each CBU. CBUs tended not to socialise together however within it was great. Socials set up for placements and grads.
London is expensive and Chiswick is a very expensive area however if you venture further outside of Chiswick then it is cheaper.
No nightlife in Chiswick however it is easy to get into central london.
Danone is located on the Chiswick Business Park which offer different activities every Friday. Great in summer as create a beach on the park and offer beach volleyball. I know there are also clubs such as the running club however I was not involved in this
