The Role
Great year and a great opportunity.
You become a valued member of the team where you are given your own responsibilities.
A lot guidance is originally from people within the office but if ever support was needed management were always there to help.
Most days are fairly busy but sometimes there are slow days- this is due to the nature of the job.
You were given your own responsibilities which you looked after throughout the duration of the year. If you wanted, you could also ask for more or less.
The skills developed in this placement will help throughout my degree and future career. It has been an invaluable experience.
The Company
Everyone was so friendly all the time, department events were organised. Even in stressful times people pulled together,
Mainly well organised with a variety of intern activities to do, such as visiting other departments across the company.
The company invest a lot of time and effort into developing you so that you can get the most out of the year and so they get the most out of you. You can get sent to training courses which were a great opportunity.
Flexi Time

Subsidised/Company Gym

Due to the nature of the department, it may not be possible to return after university, however, if it is it would be very appealing.
The Culture
Students from all over the company were very sociable and regularly organised activities together. Everyone got on really well.
As this placement was based near London prices were very high, however, it was manageable on the salary paid.
Very little nightlife in the area, but lots of pubs
If you looked for them there are opportunities however, you must be proactive in finding them.
