The Role
I really enjoyed my time at VWFS. I've felt like I've come a long way over the way, not only building job knowledge but building my own self development to.
All throughout my placement I felt like a permanent member of the team. I was given a lot of responsibility and my team trusted me with work that needed completing.
I was given maximum support by not only my line manager but my team and other colleagues around me. I was always encouraged to take on new opportunities and challenges. If I ever came across any issues, the support was always there.
The job role keeps you busy for majority of the month. As I progressed through my placement I had some time within the month where I didn't have much to do but at this point I was given the opportunity to take on more work.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. My work has a significant impact on the team and the deliverables that were produced.
I will go back to university with more motivated and determined mind set, the job role has shown me what I am capable of. Having attended many courses and workshops, my placement year has put me in good stead for my final year at university.
The Company
The atmosphere around the office is excellent. Everyone is friendly and very welcoming.
I think the placement year was organised very well.
There was many internal courses which I attended over my placement year. I was also actively encouraged to go around the company, learning about different departments and the company as a whole.

The Culture
There were a good number of us, so a lot of opportunity to socialise.
Socialising in the area is at a similar cost to university towns.
Not a student area but loads of bars to go to.
Yes, sports activities outside of work.
