The Role
Throughout my internship as I have learned more about my industry I have become an indispensable member of my team, significantly contributing to my direct manager's activity and success
HAYS provides a fantastic formal training programme which takes place over the course of 3 days providing you with true insights into how to improve your business processes and also gives you the opportunity to ask highly experienced consultants their thoughts on the recruitment process and how to deal with specific situations.
There have definitely been peaks and troughs of activity however it has been a great balance between the rush of getting a job on and finding candidates quickly to beat the competition through to carrying out research projects.
After a steep learning curve I was able to take on a lot of responsibility and carry out my work in a fairly autonomous manner.
I have picked up many essential skills in this role, I have learned how to manage a heavy and complex work load as well as communicate effectively with professionals at various levels of seniority from graduates through to executives.
The Company
The general atmosphere was optimistic and upbeat
There was a structured training programme and senior staff were always available if I was feeling at all lost or required direction
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
This is something I really like about HAYS, there is a clear path to progression and if you work hard and succeed this is recognised and you will advance
The Culture
The team I worked with were very social and we went out a lot
Central London is not a cheap place to socialise
Central London Nightlife
HAYS did provide a good number of socialising opportunities outside of work for the wider office
