The Role
KPMG is really a people firm, colleagues would always be willing to go out of their way to help you so long as you were working hard and doing your best.
Although I was often having to ask for work, once I had built up relationships with managers they were more willing to send over interesting projects- again if you are willing to work hard you will be rewarded with more tasks and more interesting tasks. I would however advise interns to always make sure they ask for work and keep themselves busy as there is nothing worse than a sitting infront of a computer without anything to do.
Learning to work in a workplace environment and completing timesheets will definitely help you to plan your work and projects in your final year of university.
