The Role
I set up a monthly meeting with my manager to ensure my progress was being tracked which I found very helpful
The workload in my department is continually high, but I enjoy keeping busy and if it felt too hard to handle I could speak up and get assistance
I was treated the same as every other member of staff regarding responsibilities, which I enjoyed.
The Company
I have enjoyed working with various individuals and teams across the department as the atmosphere is very team-focussed, all working together to achieve.
Room for improvement - at times I have been required to prompt suggestions for additional training. I also did not receive an official training plan, so it was hard to check I was always on track.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I would not hesitate to return to GSK.
The Culture
Yes, if you made the effort. In Barnard Castle this is considerably more difficult as the majority of GSK sites are in the South. However, it was no problem with colleagues.
Barnard Castle is pretty quiet as it goes - but Darlington and Newcastle aren't too far away.
