The Role
Really good experience, giving a great insight into Audit at KPMG.
All of the people I worked with seemed pleased with my help/work and thanked me for the work I did.
I had a mentor/buddy who was very nice and helpful and who always made sure I knew what I was doing and where I was going.
The majority of time I had work to do, bar a couple of times when I had the odd 20 mins
I was given responsibility straight away, in meeting the clients and gathering data from them.
I was given a variety of tasks, which built-up across the internship. By the end I was given a whole section of the audit to complete, which utilised the skills that I had learnt working on previous clients.
The Company
I was not in the office much, but everyone was friendly in the office, and I soon got to know alot of people.
Everything was organised well.
I was taught everything as if I was staying with the company.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Had an interview at the end of the internship and got offered a job.
The Culture
Yes, everyone was friendly and got on really well
Lived/commuted from my student house.
Good
Nothing much as an intern, but we did get involved in a CSR day.
