The Role
Although I was warned how long the hours were I rarely finished before 7, something which I wasn't expecting.
I made some very good friends during the job. I was well respected and appreciated by my manger and assistant manager.
When I joined the management was all a bit up in the air but when it settled I had a lot of support.
It was very busy most of the time and understaffed.
I was trusted a lot and given quite a lot of responsibility.
I have learnt what skills are relevant to office jobs so I can continue to work on them in my studies.
The Company
It was good fun, apart from when it was too busy!!
There was a bit of confusion about what I could and couldn't do. I felt like a hinderance at times.
I know that if I go back I will have a chance to take up where I left off. I was given a lot of training that would be useful for a long term career.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The hours could be too much for me for a long term job. The benefits do get better as the job does and you are in charge of your career.
The Culture
Not really, I didn't meet anyone until the last week.
Not really relevant as I lived at home. They have offices all over the country so you can choose where you want to work.
Pretty standard. A few local clubs and towns surrounding where I worked.
No real options at all.
