The Role
I enjoyed the placement overall, mainly because of the other Interns on the scheme
My managers mainly left me to it, and only supported if I was really struggling
I had a lot of work throughout the whole year and sometimes felt like it was too much
I felt that my job had a lot of responsibility, dealing with sensitive issues
I have gained a lot of excel skills this year which I will use in my future career
The Company
A lot of people worked from home so the office was mostly quiet
It was very organised with lots of support from recruitment set up
We had a training course at the start of the year to teach us basic accounting. I also had a handover period where my previous intern taught me a lot
Flexi Time
Working from home
There are currently no Graduate jobs in Finance offered by IBM
The Culture
We organised a lot of intern activities and there was always something to get involved in if you wanted
Just standard uni prices in Portsmouth
Standard uni night life with a selection of clubs to choose from
Yes, IBM offer Giveback opportunities which is volunteering in the community
