The Role
I really enjoyed the experience. I have learned a lot during my time at Eaton, made really good friends. I will be sad to leave.
Treated and respected as any other employee at Eaton.
My supervisor would always provide support all I needed to do was ask.
Very busy, I have enjoyed working in tight deadlines.
A lot more responsibility than I originally expected before started this placement. I was given high demand and responsibility projects and was surprised at how trusted I was.
The skills I have learned will be invaluable. They have made me grow and develop into a more rounded individual and I have significantly improved many skills such as interpersonal skills. I have also improved the skills required to my degree which will give me an advantage at university which I wouldn't have if I didn't take this placement.
The Company
Really friendly, everyone was nice, chatty and welcoming.
Really well organised. Interns attended many training days in order for us to learn and developed valuable skills needed in the workplace. This was very helpful and also allowed us to travel around to the over Eaton sites.
Eaton spends a lot of money on the interns, which we can tell. The interns attended various training days, which allowed us to learn and develop our skills which will be very useful both at university and when working in the future.
Very appealing,
The Culture
Yes, I have made really good friends this year. Not only in my site but also during training days all the interns from Eaton meet up. I lived with other interns at my site, so we spent a lot of time together.
Living cost is relatively cheap.
I worked at the Cwmbran site so there was no nightlife in the direct area, but myself and the other interns lived in Newport which is close to Cardiff. Cardiff has a great nightlife.
Yes, we often had social events outside of work.
