The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my 12 month placement. I feel like i have gained many new skills I would not have gained without a placement year.
I got on extremely well with all colleagues and was made to feel welcome straight away
I was supported by my manager and mentor throughout my internship, I was also helped by other members of the team.
I was given many daily responsibilities of various levels of difficulty. I was also able to take part in projects throughout the year.
I was given many daily responsibilities of various levels of difficulty. I was also able to take part in projects throughout the year.
I believe I developed many new skills I would only be able to learn in a work environment not an educational environment. I also learnt new ICT skills and a lot more about my chosen speciality Aviation.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was extremely friendly and helpful.
The placement was very well organised throughout the year. however, access took a while at the beginning of the year.
We were given projects and higher responsibilities to take on. We also had reviews with management where they said how we have progressed and how we can develop.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
There are many appealing opportunities in the company for after graduation.
The Culture
All employees have a very good work and play ethic. We had the chance of attending a whole site celebration which was very enjoyable.
I was able to live at home making my living cost the same as the previous year in university.
We live and work a short drive from the capital city so the nightlife was very good.
There were many sports teams, volunteering projects, and groups to be involved in. E.g. Womens Network and 3 Peaks Charity Challenge.
