The Role
DURING MY YEAR I DID 6 MONTHS IN MERCHANDISING AND 6 MONTHS IN BUYING. BOTH OF WHICH I WAS GIVEN HIGH REPSONSABILITY AND WELL SUPPORTED AND TRAINED.
DUE TO HIGH RESPONSABILITY I FELT VALUED IN MERCHANDISING, HOWEVER, IN BUYING YOU HAD TO PUSH YOURSELF TO BECOME VALUED.
THE SUPPORT SYSTEM IS EXTENSIVE BOTH HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY. FROM EXTENSIVE TRAINING WHEN YOU START YOU BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR PEERS. THEN PROGRAMMES INCLUDE MENTORS, TEAM DAYS, WEEKLY MANAGER MEETINGS TO SUPPORT PROGRESS AND PERSONALITY TYPE MEETINGS.
IN MERCHANDISING I WAS REGULARY BUSY IN THE OFFICE AND WHILE BUYING WAS OUT OF OFFICE AND MORE OF SHADOWING ROLE I STILL REMAINED BUSY THROUGH OFFERING TO DO TASKS FOR BUYING MEETINGS AND STRATEGY.
The Company
THERE IS A GOOD, YOUNG ATMOSPHERE WITH LOTS OF TIME INVESTED IN TEAM DAYS AND TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES.
MERCHANDISING IS VEYR WELL EXECUTED AND STRUCTURED HOWEVER BUYING BECAME VERY UNORGANISED AND WAS VERY IDEPENDENT AND ON YOU TO GET THE BEST EXPERIENCE.
THE COMPANY INVEST EXSTENSIVLEY IN TRAINING, TRAVEL AND EXPERIENCE.
International Travel
THE COMPANY IS GROWING QUICKLY SO PROSPECTS ARE CONSIDERED FAIRLY HIGH.
The Culture
YES, YOU ARE ALL IN TRAINING TOGETHER FOR THREE MONTHS.
EXPENSIVE FOR THE SALARY BUT SOICAL AS I ORGANISED A HOME WITH OTHER PLACEMENTS.
YOU ARE CLOSE TO LONDON SO GOOD.
