The Role
Slow to start with and had to push for work as the team was very busy.
The team was very friendly and welcoming and showed strong appreciation to the work that I did.
A lot of support was given when asked for and approached. 1 to 1 meetings did not happen every month though.
Most of the time any work had to be seeked by myself. Some times there were busy periods but this only lasted for a couple of days at a time.
I had a lot of chasing people to meet deadlines and was given some technical work to complete.
Improved presentation skills and networking but the technical work is only appropriate.within my department.
The Company
A nice bunch of people to work with and most of the team has a sense of humor.
IT equipment took a while to get and no real formal joining process. Work was not really structured and just given as and when it came up.
Had sufficent training in all programs used.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Above 25 days holiday
Graduate program gives you the chance to move to other buisness areas and lots of chance to progress up the ladder.
The Culture
The whole company has a aprrentice and graduate association plus our depatment had a graduate and IP commite that arrange a few social events.
Supper cheap accomodation when paired up with other interns.
Close to Derby city centre that has many clubs.
Rolls Royce has many sports teams and its own leisure centre.
