The Role
Was the best years experience I could have hoped for, working for such an incredible company and brand
I got on with my colleagues really well and felt that the work I was doing was used and appreciated and needed
I could ask my managers anytime for help on anything and also got support with things I didn't even ask for sometimes which was great and appreciated
Never had a dull moment and had a nice work life balance
More responsibility than I thought I would have, but not an overwhelming amount. It was nice to have work that actually made a difference and was challenging but they give you this as you become more competent in the role
Skills that will benefit me and be a great starting platform for my working life
The Company
The atmosphere was great and my department worked really hard but also people were able to have down time and talk and have a laugh. It wasn't all looking a a computer screen for 8 hours. I really enjoyed how everyone treated interns like there were full time respected colleagues ad our opinions are valued. We also had projects that everyone appreciated and applauded if successful.
It was great I knew my role, my manager and my responsibilities. There was always support from HR before the Internship started should I need it and there was also groups set u on Facebook to ask questions an meet people. Even when some of my roles changed it was always clearly highlighted and understandable
We had great training days to teach you about the Disney integrity, the culture and a great book on how to work within the department. I had some great expediences and my managers were also pushing me to get involved in lost of activities events and meetings where i could meet some people. I was also invited to some social events with ex employees.

It would be great to go and work for Disney again but its not guaranteed, thee in no official Grad Scheme currently however if there are roles within the business or the department you worked for then I think you are thought of in the recruitment process, providing you did a good job during your placement and worked well with the team.
The Culture
The Christmas Party with your department is great fun and there is often drinks with colleagues. I got on well with the 7 other interns in my department and we often went out together. It was great because a few of us lived down in London for the Year. It would be nice to socialise more at events with other interns in the building, as this wasn't very easy to do
The cost of living is high and so is socialising, half of my salary went on my rent and then lunches and food, but i would definitely recommend it as it allows you to go on nights out socialise without having to catch a train or commute in every morning.
The nightlife in Hammersmith is ok, the bars are great and its close to the river but its worth going central for a night out which is why id recommend living in Hammermsith as it makes it easier. There is so much to do across London and well worth the the extra cost. Events, festivals, nights out and cools shops bars and restaurants are close by
Outside events were great as you get invited to employee screenings for new films, product launches sometimes as well. The One Voice activities are great too and you will have those throughout the year. It would be good to have more sporting activities outside of work with some sports teams to join, its hard to do the Triathlon because of when it falls in the year you will have left by that time.
