The Role
My colleagues were brilliant. I felt like I was well respected by them and the work that I was doing was adding value to the team.
My manager was absolutely lovely and really looked out for me
There were peaks and troughs of my work load but I always had something to do
I felt needed during the placement as work that I was doing would be used after my departure
The work was very useful in developing my transferable skills (working in a team, initiative etc)
The Company
Everyone was very friendly. We were able to have a few laughs as well as working hard
The internship was extremely well organised from the assessment center to the beyond the end of the placement. We were given guidance before hand on accommodation and the city and were kept fully informed of expectations throughout the summer.
All of the interns attended an induction day to get to know the company and other areas of the company other than our particular scheme. We were also given extra training to get to know the company's product.

I have not yet heard back regarding a graduate job, but it looks promising and I enjoyed the internship to the extent that I would gladly accept the offer should one come.
The Culture
The social scene was great as most of the summer interns were living together in the student halls recommended by the company
I was placed in Derby. Drinks were reasonably cheap on a night out as it is also a student city!
There are various bars and clubs. The nights are what you make of them!
There was a football tournament organised for the interns and plenty of other activities organised by interns.
