The Role
I was fully immersed in the KPMG working life. I worked on several clients and was given a variety of different tasks on each to broaden my understanding of audit.
I felt like a graduate not an intern, I felt welcome to the office from day 1.
I was in close contact with my supervisor and after each time i worked on a client a detailed feedback form was filled in which I went over with the in-charge.
When on a client I was very busy however there were days in the office where I struggled to find work even after asking everyone in the office.
On clients I was given a high level of responsibility.
When working in the office or on clients I was given at times several hard tasks at once, this will greatly help my multi-tasking in my final year.
The Company
There were always socials being arranged and as it was a relatively small office there was a great sense of togetherness.
On my second day a timetable was made for me full of work for the whole 8 weeks, my managers and supervisors tried their hardest to keep my as busy as possible.
I participated in graduate training sessions and webinars to help me understand what it would be like to study for my ACA. I was given a high level of on-the-job training, each time my in-charge was very thorough and made sure I had fully understood.

I was offered a job during my interview and I accepted it.
The Culture
In total there were 2 interns, we both attended all socials and enjoyed them all. We always felt part of the group.
The office was located in the area I live, I never had a problem with affording to pay for social events or general living.
Even though I live in the area my office is located, I went to places I haven't been to before in my life on each social.
I was invited to the KPMG Corporate Social Responsibility day. I was also able to play football however I was too busy.
