The Role
I really enjoyed it at Cateprillar, the working environment was always really welcoming and the work was fun.
All the staff here at Caterpillar were fun and always loved to have a joke, as well giving great advice and encouragement.
whenever I needed support, I was always able to ask and get the help required.
I was fairly busy but some days more than others. Never felt like I was over or under burdened though, which was very appreciated especially first starting off.
At the very beginning I was given a very important task which was crucial to the project, which as first was daunting but made me feel like a real member of the team.
I think everything I have done and learnt over this year will benefit me in years to come, from work ethic to technical knowledge.
The Company
The atmosphere was always really friendly and relaxed. Very understanding if there was issues or problems and never felt uncomfortable.
No training courses as such, but I had a lot of reinforcement in terms of matching work with my university degree, giving me work experience in subjects I am studying.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Working from home
I would apply for the graduate role.
The Culture
The placements were very sociable with lots of nights out and events organised.
accommodation was tricky to find and cost more than average.
I am not a very nightlife person, so couldn't comment.
There is many things to do at weekends around Peterborough for a varied types of people.
