The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at IBM.
I felt very valued both by my direct manager and my extended team. I was often made aware of the value added of my work.
My task manager was always very helpful and answered any questions I had.
As my role was within the Sales Unit, the workload varied dependent on the time of the FY and the Quarter.
The business acumen and commercial awareness will help me greatly when applying for graduate jobs. I've also became more organised and assertive, which will help me in the final year of University
The Company
I was based in London Southbank which is a very central location, which is great. Also most interns are based here so the social aspect is a bonus. However, the facilities could be improved.
IBM Foundation is a well run programme with plenty of support networks.
Personal training and development is much up to you, and how much time you want to invest in yourself.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
IBM offers a great graduate scheme, with salary expectations inline with the industy.
The Culture
As most interns are based in Southbank the atmosphere is great.
High - it's London.
Great, it's London.
Yes, plenty of charity and community opportunities to get involved with.
