The Role
Great experience at Computacenter, having the opportunity to learn from many senior colleagues, be involved in exciting tasks and being part of a great IP cohort.
I felt extremely valued and this was demonstrated by having a real job from the start start of my placement.
I had a line manager, a mentor and a wider support network during my time at Computacenter. The re is always someone willing to take the time out to talk to you.
I was busy, and this was what i wanted from my placement to be able to deliver back to the organisation and i have achieved this at Computacenter.
I was given much responsibility and took full ownership of processes within my team.
There are a number of skills i will take back to university.Microsoft Office skills and presentation skills to name a couple.
The Company
The was always a team atmosphere in the office, there was a good balance between serious work but also time to have a laugh.
My placement has been running for 4/5 years now and this was evident, my year had a clear structure and development plan. Next years will be even better!
I went on various training courses to support my professional development. Including presentation courses, Microsoft Office courses and the industry recognised ITIL qualification. All of these will be extremely beneficial to me in my final year of studies and my future career.
