The Role
Really valued member of the team, flexibility to learn about other departments. Had a fantastic year!
You are treated as a normal employee and are given proper responsibilities to support the overall vision of the company.
Weekly catch up meetings with your manager, who ensures you are coping with your work load and are happy in the working environment
I was busy most days with the odd day which was less so. However, I always had enough work to keep me learning about my role.
I was given responsibilities that a general employee would be given. Disney pride themselves on giving interns a role that actually makes a difference in the company.
Although my field was limited to home entertainment, I feel that I have learnt so much that I can take into my final year of study. I have chosen my final year project based on my placement and I feel that I will have invaluable knowledge for the future
The Company
Super friendly and social. Everyone is welcoming and treats you like an equal and a friend.
Really well set up, all managers know how to deal with a younger work force. HR are well prepared to ensure you complete all the relevant paper work and courses. You are also given time to do your coursework and are given lots of support on this from your managers.
I was allowed to do inductions and other shadowing projects with other departments in order to learn more about the company in general.

Although Disney do not have a grad scheme they are very welcoming to giving jobs to past interns.
The Culture
The interns organised their own social events, however as there are 200 interns working for Disney there are more than enough people to socialise with.
It is expensive to live in London but it is worth the money for the convienence. It is also expensive in terms of drinks, however disney employees get exclusive deals with a disney pass.
It was a great nightlife and central London is so close that it is just a tube journey away.
There was a mixture of social and sporting. They have a triathlon team and many employees organise five a side football games. They also have a volunteering scheme to help rebuild less fortunate areas around London
