The Role
I had a brilliant year working with Verizon, I had a great team that encouraged me to make the most out of my year and any opportunities I came across.
I felt very valued by my colleagues as they always gave me their time and I never felt like an intern but like an employee.
To begin with when you are finding you feet it is a little slow as you are getting used to the business and it's surroundings, however very quickly I was beginning my projects and rarely had a week where it was just 9-5, 5 days a week at my desk.
The Company
My office is a lovely environment with multiple cafes and a canteen and lots of open space. It is a very large office and the building is very modern and professional.
I was able to take part in numerous trainings and workshops to enhance my learning which I found incredibly beneficial.

Working from home
I would love to work with Verizon in the future as they value their employees and this is showed by what Verizon offers as well as their flexibility with certain things.
The Culture
Myself and the other interns were largely based in Reading which has fun night life therefore we often had intern drinks or dinners where we all got together.
Reading has quite standard prices, however like everywhere there are cheap places to go as well as expensive so you can make it as you wish.
