The Role
This internship way exceeded any expectations that I previously had.
My team and seniors valued my contributions by giving regular praise for my efforts.
Every step of the way, my intern manor
I had spells of great business, and spells of a quieter diary- but during those times I maximised the admin that was necessary to complete.
I was responsible for managing a company wide sales motion, that became my hallmark contribution throughout the year.
My degree is nothing to do with this internship. However the year has made me decide what I am passionate about- which is technology changing lives
The Company
I was rarely in the office everyday- as I was meeting with partners, on-site with customers, or at team meetings up and down the country. However the atmosphere, is an intelligent and ambitious one- desperate to achieve for our customers and themselves.
The initial organisation was extremely well structured. However in-role within our teams there were times of mis-direction.
They invest substantially in you. A particular highlight was flying to Dublin to deliver a presentation to the Chair of the Police Technology Council and 10 Public Sector Customers.

Very appealing. I will be applying back to Microsoft with the intention of returning as a place to build my career.
The Culture
All of the interns shared houses and so it was like university except that we were working full time. It was brilliant.
Cost of living was reasonable considering the area. Cost of socialising was expensive.
Terrible.
There was a comprehensive clubs and activities scheme to get involved with.
