The Role
I really enjoyed my work at Pfizer. Paticularly visiting University career's fairs and organising the assessment centres.
You are treated equally by members of your team and given real responsibility.
The office at Pfizer is open plan and the no jerks culture mean you can easily seek help from your colleagues. Everyone is also really friendly and encourages you to speak up if you are unsure.
The workload varied, but, there is ample opportunity to gain work from your team. Moreover there are lots of training modules such as Yellow belt training which you can do aswell.
I was given lots of smaller tasks and a few larger projects which i had fuull ownership of.
I have gained invaluable insight into recruitment and my team have really aided my development.
The Company
Everyone at pfizer is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There is an 'Ownit' Culture which makes the office a great place to work.
When i joined I was given a large handover document which outlined exactly my tasks and responsibility and when they would be completed.
Very highly. I was allowed to attend multiple training sessions during my placement year, whilst my team also took time out of their busy schedules to sit with me on a 1-1 basis.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
There is a graduate scheme at Pfizer and also the oppportunity to return in entry level jobs.
The Culture
Lots of us lived in Epsom and we set up a facebook group to discusss parties, events andrips to london.
Going to univertsity in Newcastle the cost of living is slightly higher in Surrey. However the salaray paid to undergraduates is ample to live on. I even managed to save during my time at Pfizer.
Surrey is situated just outside of london. So its a great location if you want to head into the city for a nightout.
There are lots of sports activities and social events outside of work. You can also take up to 5 days paid volunteering leave.
