The Role
I have gained a real working experience and been given real responsibilty during my placement year
On average the role requirements meant that on a daily basis I was usualy very busy
I was given a lot of responisibility which meant that I have been continuously challenged during my placement
I feel as though the experience I have had this year has been invaluable and will benefit me massively in the future.
The Company
Working within a Japanese organisation meant that the general atmosphere and way of working, was different to my previous working experiences. There is a constant mentality of improvement and efficiency which has meant that in general the atmosphere is very work focussed.
The placement programme here at Sony has been organised very well with specific days assigned in order to gain a real understanding of the different aspects of the business group. In terms of the actual role, it has been very similar to a permenant role and therefore is structured as if I were a new employee starting.

The Culture
There has been a very good social scene amongst the interns both within the organisation and working hours as well as outside of company hours. There is also a good community within the Sony family where everyone gets along and works well side by side.
The area in which I chose to live in was very expensive and in hindsight, I would choose to live somewhere less local and more central within London.
They area I chose to live in has little or next to no 'Nightlife' as such, however it is easy to travel into London when needs be
