The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed it, it has gone very quickly and I have learnt an awful lot.
I felt very much valued by all levels of hierarchy in my regional office - Winchester.
From day one I have been well guided and supported.
The days have been very varied, I have been taken out on site visits and inspections as well as undertaking lots of office work including producing documents which lead to fees.
I have been handed a comfortable amount of responsibility. I have been given tasks but they have been rightfully checked and managed by my superiors.
Some of the knowledge that I have learnt at University has been put into practice on my placement which has really helped to embed a fundamental understanding of the information known to date. I am without a doubt sure that I have also gained additional knowledge which as you suggest will assist me for my third year studies.
The Company
Of positive nature, but with a strong work ethic.
Very well organised. Having my own Savills login and email system has made it all very easy. The go to meeting which have also been arranged have been of great.
As mentioned above the go to meetings have been very good investment in myself. In respect of these they have taught me an awful lot about the varying aspects work/ departments that Savills can offer. I have also had CV advice and time invested in my own personal development which has been of use.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
They are of definite appeal. Having seen how Savills operates, it seems to suit me greatly. The people are very pleasant and a job at Savills would appeal to me.
The Culture
Yes the southern Cricket team was a great out of office aspect of the placement. I have played 3 matches all of which have been good for socialising with colleagues from the not only the Winchester office but Newbury and Salisbury alike.
Pretty Standard.
Cannot comment.
Yes the Cricket was a great opportunity!
