The Role
Accenture Digital is nothing like the old school view of Accenture would have you believe
highly. Responsibility was built up rapidly but gradually. Colleagues are always happy to invest time to support / explain things to you. Hard work is appeciated
Good level of support, not only from direct managers but also other colleagues that I did not directly work with
Peaks and troughs... Sometimes I was doing 14-16 hour days for 2 week stints, then I would have a slow week where I could leave early and take back some time for myself. It's important to learn to take it easy when you can, because inevitably the company will get it's pound of flesh from you in the end
Gradually increased from start to finish. I think it was a reasonable / appropriate amount of responsibility
My degree includes many subjects that require us to work with industry partners, so consulting experience is highly useful
The Company
Friendly
Very well organised. By now this placement scheme is a well-oiled machine
Lot of opportunity to join training's, but it is largely based upon your workload. Training is valued by senior leadership and therefore taking time out of day-to-day jobs for training is not frowned upon (so long as you are on top of your work, in general)
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Good, especially within Digital where Accenture are looking to expand rapidly
The Culture
yeah, but we all go to the same uni so that's not indicative of Accenture necessarily
London - Expensive
London - Expensive but always lively
Not really stressed on the placement scheme. Lots of analyst opportunities though
