The Role
By the end of the 4 week internship my work was contributing to greater projects Able to get involved and understand the day to day requirements of the role
Given a graduate mentor - support depended on the mentor
Work was actually used by the business
General business skills and office dynamics learnt. More specific departmental skills achieved which will contribute to my further post graduate studies, putting theory into reality.
The Company
Friendly, flat structure.
Departmental talks given every few days to learn about different areas of the business. Social and introductory events organised. Less of a structured way of working but contributed to parts of projects.
Opportunities to talk with other colleagues when undertaking site visits.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. Good working environment. Good company to undertake the APC with as lots of opportunities to rotate departments.
The Culture
Yes socialising with other interns happened once or twice a week in the evenings and most lunch times.
Lived at home so did not have rent to pay. Social could be quite expensive but depended on the activities undertaken.
Good. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars.
Socialised between other interns.
