The Role
I have had a great year and been offered many opportunities. A workplace that really makes you work!
I have not only made connections that will benefit me in the future but I have made true friends for life.
I had a very strong relationship with my managers. They always ensured I was being pushed to my limits but supporting me in the process. I had monthly 1-2-1's to access my progress and improvement.
Completely fluctuates on season, what customer your dealing with, current state of the account, your particular role. However, if you want to be busy you can be busy, there is always work to do!
I was given a lot of responsibility! Mainly towards the end of placement when my customer and managers had faith that I knew exactly what I was doing. By the end of the year I was able to solely manage and run the account on my own.
On a huge scale. Not only have I gained life experience, I have gained motivation for when I go back as I have seen where I want to be and finishing my final year is a stepping stone in the right direction. Working customer facing has taught me so many people management skills and behavior management. Skills that will benefit me for life.
The Company
I worked from 2 offices. Lehman Brothers and Channel 4. My Lehman Brothers office was quite quiet as the amount of teams there is constantly reducing as a result of the administration, it was a very corporate environment. However, Channel 4 was very vibrant and bubbly! Great Atmosphere. Great Balance to be exposed to both!
Took Computacenter a while to decide where we were going to be based which created a bit of uncertainty at the beginning. However, all worked out in the end and once on placement it was fine.
I was very much invested in. I gained my industry recognised ITIL v3 Foundation qualification and I was allowed to attend any training courses I wanted too without question.
Flexi Time
Working from home
I would love to come back and work for Computacenter and I am leaving with an offer from my boss to do just that.
The Culture
We were all very close! Had a whatsapp group and always went out for dinner/drinks.
I worked in Canary Wharf and Westminster, London. Therefore quite expensive.
City of London! Great times.
We have many charity events which I always attended! & The boys all joined a work football team which was great.
