The Role
I have really enjoyed my time at Hays, I like that you aren't treated as an intern, you are treated as any other employee.
I like the fact that everyone celebrates each other successes.
I was trained by the intern before me, which really helped me settle in. Also at the start of every period I have a sit down with my manager and we have a review of how the last period went and set targets for the next one.
Usually very busy, but the nature of recruitment and how fast paced it is, it never gets dull or repetitive.
During my placement I have been given a lot of responsibility, at the start of it I ran my own desk where I had up to 55 works out at one time. With me being on the construction and property team my manager is out on visits a lot of the time and I am left to work independently and i'm trusted to get things done.
the skills I have developed over the past year are all transferrable and will help me with what ever industry I go in to. I have been on 2 separate training weeks at the start of my placement and I have also had training in the office with other consultants from the North West.
The Company
the atmosphere in the office is amazing, everyone gets on really well. We have things like table tennis and a darts board that can be used at lunch.
The placements at Hays have a brilliant structure. You gradually get more and more responsibility and it never seems to daunting.
I was sent on a 3 day training course in Birmingham where I was put up in a hotel and had sales training with 5 other interns from around the country.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
very appealing, the structure is very good and it allows you to progress within the business.
The Culture
Hays is a very sociable company, there are a number of events that happen throughout the year such as; Liverpool Christmas party, north west Christmas party, race days, summer conference as well as other nights out and events.
Liverpool is a very sociable city and isn't too expensive to live there,
Very good, with there being 3 universities very close together. Also a lot of bars restaurants to go to.
There are a lot of gyms in Liverpool to exercise as well as other sports centres.
