    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed my internship at EY. Everybdy was friendly to me and I got a lot of insights I did not expect. The internship was really valuabe to me since I now realise what it actually takes tob e a consultant and how reality correlates to prejudices against consultants.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • During my placement I felt really valued. My work was really appreaciated, especially since I put in a lot of effort, For this reason, my work was actually used as a basis to consider further actions. In total I was an integrated and necessary part of the team which in my opinion is key if you want to learn a lot.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • During the insight, I received a lot of assiantance from other people in my workplace. Even people I did not know were immediately offering their help once I looked a bit lost. On the contrary, people even approached me once they realised what my strengths are. Also employees of higher rank were very open and communicative to me.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Concerning this question, I am not quite sure. Of course I learned a lot which is valuable. However, since I am not exactly sure what to do in the future as of right now, I cannot really tell. On the unviersity side, this internship was definitely beneficial, since I know that the techical skills and concepts acquired are part of the studies or may at least help me solving problems in my studies.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was well structured. I had to follow a clear shedule but was allowed to be free when it comes to assigning my personal resources. The staff was prepared to spend time with me and thus was never hesitant to help me out whenever needed. I am astonsihed about that, especially because consultants meticulously track their time.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • I was very surprised about the general atmosphere at EY. I heard from experiences from other students that the atmosphere will boring and nothing exciting. Yet I have met incredible smart people who were working for EY or joined the Programme as well. Hence, in my view the atmosphere was awesome.

  • They cared about every intern that was there and tried their best to show the company from their best side. Everything was planned well and to provide us attendees at the programme a great experience that will benefit us as individuals (growth of skills) and to provide us information about what the company does.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Being present at the company itself, talk to people at EY and to listen to their company presentation definitely helped me to gain an understanding of what it would be like to work for EY. However, I am not sure if I can say now if I want to work there later but it was a great impression nevertheless.

Every task, presentation or networking event was designed to let us get a feel for what it is like to work EY and what the culture is. This will helpful us to choose a career that will fit to our needs and so that we will not be disappointed later on.
