About You
Great mixture of social and extra-curricular events available over the two weeks. Felt like I was doing actually useful work for my supervisor. The work was interesting and varied.
Simmons & Simmons, graduate recruitment team consistently helped to make us feel valued and my supervisors and others in the team also took the time to ensure we felt this way.
A little bit of support at the begining, a couple of time I would email the grad recruiters about something minor and I did not get a reply.
I have already graduate and worked in a simislar enviroment, for me the insight was about the people and the culture of the firm.
The Company
There was enough structure that we had things to do and guidence but enough flexbility that we could miss events if neccessary and continue work. However ICT training needs to be the first thign before we meet our supervisors, I shouldn't need to waste their time trying to figure out the online filling system!
Everyone super freindly, although a little dissapointed that trainees and supervisors didn't turn up to one of the three socials.
This was the best and most important part for me, although clearly it was through rose tinted glasses, it still allowed me to better understand the firm.
I felt like I was a part of the team and really enjoyed having the oppurtunity to chat with everyone from trainees to partners.
Everything Else
Good pay, as someone who already lived in London it more than covered my costs.. I think for other who travelled to London it wasn't enough.
