About You
Not only were you able to experience two different seats but many events were put on especially for vacation scheme students, such as a pro bono day, practice group talks, diversity and inclusion afternoon tea, and many more events.
Everyone was welcoming, valued every idea you had and was willing to answer any questions.
Before every seat you were set objectives to meet and had a review meeting at the end of each week to go over your progress. Everyone was so welcoming. Anyone would be willing to support you, if you had a query.
From doing the vacation scheme I developed my research skills, how to problem solve, and work independently, among others, which will assist me in my degree studies and beyond.
The Company
Very well structured, and you were given a timetable at the beginning of the three weeks, and readily informed of any updates to the schedule.
Very welcoming, but a hard working environment too.
Through the objectives this allowed vacation scheme students to personally develop their skill set.
As stated many events were put on for vacation scheme students with the aim of allowing us to gain a real insight into the firm, so we could determine whether this was a firm in which we would like to work at.
Alot, there is no other way to experience a firm's culture, unless you are there for a significant period.
It 100% reaffirmed that I wanted to be a solicitor at a global commercial law firm.
Everything Else
All travel expenses and hotel accommodation in London, on the induction four days was paid for, if you were doing your vacation scheme in a regional office.
You were able to network constantly, as many employees were willing to chat and answer questions at any point.
Very good, all questions were answered.
