The Role
I have really enjoyed all aspects of my placement year with Pfizer
The team immediately made me feel included, involved and valued.
I was given weekly catch ups with my manager who always gave me support on my projects
There were times which were very busy and other quieter periods however for me this balanced out very well
I have been given a lot of responsibility on shared projects and a couple of my own projects also
This will definitely help for any job I chose to do in the future.
The Company
When the office was busy it was an excellent environment to work in. Everyone was very kind (always bought each other coffees) and had a good balance between work and socialising. Only negative was sometimes the office was very empty!
The set up of the internship was very well organised. There was a lot of training and induction things given at the beginning
I was given lots of opportunities to experience different departments. Additionally I was given chance to do multiple training courses
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
It seems like it would definitely be possible to take a graduate position after uni is finished
The Culture
There were a lot of placement students there so it created a really good social atmosphere
As it is close to London it is experience to live and socialise in this area. I was able to live in my family home so this did not impact me too much
There isn't good night life in the immediate area close to the office. London is very accessible.
There were a number of volunteering and sporting activities offered for people to get involved in,
