The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Pfizer, I was given really interesting projects and learned so much throughout the year. It has made me want to build a career in pharma.
I work with a really lovely team and they are always quick to give positive feedback and praise when they think it's due.
I had catch ups and one to ones with my manager. My team were alwyas supportive if I needed to ask questions.
I worked on some really exciting projects and it was a very busy year for my team so I was kept really busy.
I led on my own projects and my opinion was valued. I was given considerable responsibility in stakeholder management and project management and I was always trusted to deliver.
Its completely invaluable experience. This was the only way I could properly gain commercial insights, coming from a science degree. I developed a huge range of professional skills and knowledge which are transferrable to my degree and future roles.
The Company
Pfizer has a really good culture and everyone is really friendly. I had a good working relationship with my team and always enjoyed coming to work.
I didn't have a very structured induction, I did a lot of learning on the job which suited me well. With the intern scheme at Pfizer, the experience isn't very uniform across the scheme. It is very much dependent on which team you get placed with.
I went on several training courses and had many oportunities offered to me. I was included in a vast array of opportunities with my team and I felt like the company had invested a lot in my development.

I have made really good contacts and would be interested in applying for the grad scheme or coming back to another job here.
The Culture
There are social events and I made some lasting friendships with some of the other interns.
It is very expensive to live in Surrey so close to London but on the other hand it is nice to be so close to London.
I lived in Epsom which doesn't have much of a nightlife but you can head to London, it's just expensive.
There's definitely opportunities if you make the most of living near London.
