About You
A really well-organised vacation scheme with a good balance of challenging department work, group projects and social activities to break up the two weeks.
I definitely felt valued and that I'd been given the opportunity to contribute something to the firm.
Lots! Grad recruitment were always on-hand to answer any questions, as were all those in our departments, especially our trainee buddies.
The opportunity to work in two different departments meant I was able to gain experience of two new areas of law. Working on a group project allowed us to develop team work skills and commercial awareness, alongside a deeper understanding of RPC.
The Company
Very - a good range of activities were organised but with enough unstructured time to spend working in our departments.
Extremely friendly and enthusiastic
There were always opportunities to ask questions and to gain feedback to allow us to improve upon our performance during the placement, rather than just at the end of the 2 weeks.
The scheme was invaluable in helping me to understand what it would be like to work at RPC and what I could expect from them as an employer, and what they expect from their employees.
Through being immersed in the firm and our departments, we gained a real insight into how RPC operates on a day-to-day basis.
It confirmed that I definitely want to pursue a career in law, particularly with a firm with such a culture and work environment as RPC.
Everything Else
There were presentations from different departments, networking sessions and social activities. We were able to meet lots of people from our departments also.
There were structured networking activities and presentations to allow us to get to know the firm's work better. Social activities outside of the office with current and future trainees provided for a more relaxed and informal atmosphere to get to know the firm.
We were invited to get involved with the firm's activities outside of work, such as netball and football matches.
Definitely!
