The Role
A little dull at times but quite a lot of interesting and challenging work and a great working environment.
Felt like I was being treated the same as a real employee.
Mostly left to my own devices; though when I asked for help it was usually given.
Sometimes I was very busy and the work was urgent, and sometimes felt like there wasn't much to do
Plenty - writing real software for delivery to customer, being trusted with fixing some fairly crucial issues.
Programming and time management skills will be invaluable.
The Company
Hard working but relaxed.
More training would have been nice, if just for first week. And slightly ran out of useful work towards the end.
They didn't spend much time on it, but did try and keep track of how I was developing and we had chats about it now and then.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Not really sure - I don't really want to work in software anyway.
The Culture
I didn't speak to them much as I started at a different time and was working on a different project. There wasn't really a distinction between interns and employees anyway.
London, so rents huge. Still, decent pubs at a decent price nearby.
A couple of nice pubs and restaurants nearby; very near Camden which I'm told is good for clubs
Company band, a couple of sports events.
