  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Could not have anticipated the amount I do enjoy working for HPE.

  • Treated equally like all fellow engineers and assigned work at similar level to that of more senior staff.

  • Whenever required.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Always had worked assigned or waiting to be assigned. I was also allowed for independent scripting or automation of tests and functions, for myself and other colleagues.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Was responsible for testing and modifying large disk arrays and hosts. Submitting bugs and maintaining inventory of sites equipment. Maintaing sites virtual machine network and editting pre-existing documentation and scripts.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned so much this year from applying my knowledge and learning while applying that to real tasks from say-to-day. From a social aspect I feel as if I have learned how to operate correctly within a software and development team efficiently. I recieved formal, independent and applied training, each informative in their own way, both online and in person by colleagues or specific tutors hired by HPE.

  • Extremely positive and social.

  • Extremely, being able to accomodate and train an intern as a fellow engineer.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Onboarding Formal (scheduled) Independent resources for learning Explanations and teachings by colleagues on software and hardware relevent to test areas. Assigning of tests harware to that of a graduate and senior engineers.

  • Yes, many planned social events, charity and independent events with staff or occasions of importance.

  • Reasonable compared to other capitals within the UK.
