The Role
Really useful and interesting insight into the property sector. Generally very enjoyable but at times a bit boring.
Felt that staff were interested and cared about me
Things were generally very well explained, especially by my mentor. Didn't have that much to do with Management
At times there wasn't enough work
Given tasks which I believe helped the running of the department
Learnt a lot about planning policy and writing reports which I will take with me into further study and work.
The Company
Really Good! Everyone was really friendly and approachable
Generally very well organised scheme with talks and meetings organised from head office. However I felt that there was a lack of site visits and work for me wasn't particularly well organised.
I don't believe any training was given. I learnt about future opportunities and how to use a few different planning programmes but no other formal training
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The future employment prospects with Savills are appealing and I am keen to apply. However there doesn't appear to be any benefit in the recruitment process from being on the internship, and places seem very competitive.
The Culture
Lots of opportunities to get out of the office and socialise in both informal e.g. softball and formal e.g. networking events settings with colleagues and other companies
I was commuting from home and paying for parking - £10 a day.
I didn't go out but Bristol has a good reputation
Lots of opportunities after work e.g. summer party, softball league and networking events. Something on every week.
