The Role
A great internship, provide a good mix of client work and office based work.
Both other interns and permanent staff members were very polite, welcoming, and although they showed you the ropes, they weren't shy to ask you to do work for them. When work was completed excellent feedback was given as well.
Each intern was given a buddy and a manager for support throughout the placement. Partners were also available to talk to all the time as well, and they got involved on a personal level with most of the interns.
There were very few days which dragged on with little work to do. Although the amount expected of you increased as weeks went by, it never became stressful or too much to handle.
Feedback and the opinion of interns was expected, and we were able to go and talk to clients on our own after being introduced. We were given the opportunity to work on real audits for real organisations.
This was my first experience of the financial world, and it has already proved a useful experience in the short time since I finished. At university in lectures, when looking at the news, and when discussing things with peers.
The Company
Everyone was friendly and full of advice.
There were things organised from project work, to a CR day.
They allowed us to visit the college where we would gain our qualifications in the future, they gave us a presentation crash course, and informed us of all of the aspects they would give us in future years to come.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I received a graduate job offer.
The Culture
All of the interns attended the events organised for us.
It was in london, so socialising is an expensive part of being there.
Everything you could want.
Sports, social events and other arranged activities.
