  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed my work from the culture of the company to the actual work I was involved in on a day to day basis.

    • I felt very valued and always felt that my contributions were respected during discussions/meetings.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • I was given support from day one. Being new to audit, my managers helped me build an understanding of the tests and concepts so that I could operate on my own and work independently on assigned tasks.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I was always kept busy with work but never overwhelmed as most of my supervisors were clear as to what the work should be completed by.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was given a fair amount of responsibility. In my first week I went through the basics and then was given more responsibility as time went on.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think it will help me to assimilate concepts faster and assure that the quality of my work is delivered at an exceptional level.

    • The atmosphere is friendly and the office truly works in line with its CLEARR values.

    • It was very well structured as I was exposed to a variety of clients and worked with a lot of teams which was structured well by my people manager

    • The company invested in me by providing training on presentation skills and workshops on things to be mindful of in the work environment which can be beneficial in any professional environment

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?

    • They are quite appealing as you are given days off to study towards a sponsored qualification ( ACCA) and it is a company that continuously focuses on the development of their employees.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes there was during company events such as intern networking, office bbq and even to office football.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Cost of living was relatively low and socialising did not cost that much in comparison to other places.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • N/A- as I do not go clubbing, but it was full of restaurants and lovely scenery.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Yes, there were always events going on like quiz nights, bbq and networking events.
